Rite of the Pollip Wish (Pollip Heart Locations 6/6)
The Rite of the Pollip is a major side quest, or “Wish,” available in the Shellwood area. Given by the mysterious NPC Greyroot, this quest tasks you with tracking down 6 Pollip Hearts from strange purple flowers scattered throughout the region.
How to Start Rite of the Pollip Quest
Section titled “How to Start Rite of the Pollip Quest”To begin, you must find Greyroot. Head to the Shellwood region, near the exit to Bellhart. From the main path, jump up and to the left to a higher ledge. In the next room, enter a small hut where Greyroot will emerge from a cocoon. You may need to speak to them twice to receive the “Promise Wish” option.

Silksong All Pollip Heart Locations
Section titled “Silksong All Pollip Heart Locations”Pollip Hearts are found inside large purple blooms, often hidden or in hard-to-reach places. Look for small purple flowers or floating petals as a clue that a bloom is nearby. Hit the large bloom with your Needle until it bursts and drops the heart.
-
Pollip Heart #1 (Near Greyroot)
Section titled “Pollip Heart #1 (Near Greyroot)”In the large, central room where you start the quest, climb the platforms to the northeast. The first large purple flower is waiting here.

-
Pollip Heart #2 (Exit to Bellfort)
Section titled “Pollip Heart #2 (Exit to Bellfort)”In the southeastern room, just before the exit to Bellfort, climb up the right wall. Use your wall jump to reach a small platform lined with purple flowers, where the second bloom is located.

-
Pollip Heart #3 (Above Quest Start)
Section titled “Pollip Heart #3 (Above Quest Start)”In the room almost directly above where you began the quest, jump left from the main path and float down to a platform directly beneath you to find the third bloom.

-
Pollip Heart #4 (Bouncing Puzzle)
Section titled “Pollip Heart #4 (Bouncing Puzzle)”In the high-ceiling room in the northeast part of the map, you must use your downward strike to bounce off a series of hanging white bulbs to reach the top-left corner where the fourth bloom is hidden.

-
Pollip Heart #5 (Hidden Wall)
Section titled “Pollip Heart #5 (Hidden Wall)”In the center room of Shellwood, about halfway up, look for a wall on the left side covered in small purple flowers. Cling and slide on this wall to find a hidden platform with the fifth bloom.

-
Pollip Heart #6 (Passage from Bellhart)
Section titled “Pollip Heart #6 (Passage from Bellhart)”This is the trickiest one. You must first enter Bellhart from Shellwood’s top-right exit. From the upper part of Bellhart, carefully drop down and go all the way left to find a passage that leads back into a previously inaccessible part of Shellwood. Destroy a vine wall to find the final bloom.

Reward: The Pollip Pouch
Section titled “Reward: The Pollip Pouch”Once you have all six hearts, return to Greyroot. After some cryptic dialogue, they will reward you with the Pollip Pouch.

- Type: Tool (Blue Slot)
- Effect: Applies a poison effect to your other equipped Tools where applicable (e.g., Straight Pins will now poison enemies). The poison deals passive damage over time.
- Veteran’s Analysis: An excellent early-to-mid game Tool for boosting passive damage, especially against bosses with high health. It effectively turns your utility tools into damage-over-time weapons. Note that it does not apply poison to your standard Needle attacks.
