How to Get Silk Soar (Super Jump)

Silk Soar is found at an ancient altar deep within the bottom of the Abyss, a late-game area. You must have progressed the main ‘Silk and Song’ quest in Act 3 to gain access.

Warning: The Abyss

The Abyss is one of Pharloom’s most dangerous regions, filled with powerful foes. Ensure your needle is fully upgraded and you have plenty of health masks before attempting this journey.

1. Enter the Abyss You’ll know you’ve arrived when the environment becomes dark and eerie, filled with remnants of ancient beings. This is the deepest part of the kingdom.

2. Proceed to the Right Make your way through the Abyss by heading steadily to the right. You will face several powerful, shadowy enemies along this path. Be prepared for a fight.

3. Find the Great Pit Eventually, your path will be blocked by a large, seemingly bottomless pit. This is your destination. Stand at the edge and prepare for the descent.

4. Descend and Discover the Altar Jump down into the pit. After a controlled fall, you will land in a hidden chamber. Proceed to the left to find a glowing, ancient altar, untouched for ages.

5. Acquire the Ability Approach the altar and interact with it. Hornet will absorb its power and learn Silk Soar. A shortcut will likely open nearby, allowing for an easier exit.

How to Use Silk Soar

Silk Soar is a charged ability that launches Hornet high into the air at the cost of Silk.

How to Super Jump

Hold the inputs to charge the ability. After a brief moment, Hornet will shoot upwards.

• Aerial Assault: Launch yourself into the air to safely get above a boss, allowing you to reposition or perform a devastating plunging attack. This is especially effective against enemies with no upward-hitting attacks.

Movement Tips

• Reaching New Heights: This is the primary function of Silk Soar. Use it to access high ledges and hidden areas that are impossible to reach with a standard jump and dash.
• Creating Shortcuts: Many areas have vertical shortcuts that can only be accessed with Silk Soar, making backtracking much faster.
• Sequence Breaking: For advanced players, Silk Soar can be used to access certain areas earlier than intended, opening up new routes and possibilities.

Skill Synergies

• Swift Step (Dash): The most crucial combo in the game. Use Silk Soar to gain maximum height, then perform an air dash with Swift Step at the peak of your jump to cover massive horizontal and vertical distances. This is required for many of the toughest platforming challenges.
• Pogo Strike: Use Silk Soar to get above enemies or environmental hazards, then use your downward needle strike (pogo) to bounce across them safely.

  Found in Pharloom. Access this statue from the east side. You must then use this ability to exit this room.

  Found in Pharloom. Climb the mountain and use Needolin at the peak.

  A deflective technique utilizing thread spun by a creature. By binding Silk around the needle, you can deflect enemy attacks and instantly strike back.

  Defeat the Phantom to receive this parry-counter ability.

  Technique taken from the primal source of Silk. Spin talons from thread that seek out enemies.

  How to Get

  Return to where you fought the final boss of Act 2, once you start Act 3.

  A deadly Weaver technique that allows you to pierce through enemies in a blur of blade and Silk.

  How to Get

  Found in the Weavenest Karn tunnel, specifically at the western end beyond the Needolin Door in the Wormways. To obtain it, you must bind the skill.

  A deadly Weaver technique. Throw the needle forward with force amplified by coiled Silk.

  How to Get

  Found in Pharloom. Make your way up the platforms on the east side of the map to climb on top of the central structure. Use the Bind button prompt to learn it.

  A deadly Weaver technique where the needle is cast in a whirl of Silk around oneself, lashing foes.

  How to Get

  Found in Pharloom. To access it, pull the lever in the CrawNest building at the bottom of Craw Lake. Use the balloons that are released to platform up to the section containing the skill. Climb to the top using the balloons, then Bind this skill.
