Bone Bottom Repairs Quest

Bone Bottom Repairs is a Donate Wish in Hollow Knight: Silksong. It is one of the earliest side quests in the game and marks the beginning of Bone Bottom’s reconstruction. By helping Flick the Fixer gather materials and complete the Wishboard, Hornet contributes to rebuilding the camp’s infrastructure and unlocking new features for the region.

How to Start the Quest

Speak to Flick the Fixer at Bone Bottom Camp early in the game. He will mention working to restore the camp and building a Wishboard for local requests.

After progressing the story and defeating the Bell Eater in the Beast in the Bells quest, Flick’s Wishboard will be completed and available for donations.

Bone Bottom Repairs Walkthrough

Possible Bug Notice

Some players have reported that Flick or the Wishboard may not appear after dying to the Skull Tyrant during the Bone Bottom invasion.
If this happens, travel to another area such as Bellhart, rest at a bench, then return. This can reset the encounter and bring Flick back (based on community reports and Team Cherry’s known issues list).

1. Explore Until the Deep Docks

   After meeting Flick, continue exploring Pharloom. Once you’ve reached Deep Docks, the Wishboard should be finished back at Bone Bottom.
   You can fast travel there using the Bone Bottom Bellway Station.

2. Gather 200 Shell Shards

   You’ll need 200 Shell Shards for the donation. Shards are obtained from enemy drops and Shell Deposits (see Items for details).

   • Tip: The Moss Grotto region has high-density shard deposits.
     

3. Return to Bone Bottom and Talk to Flick

   Upon returning, Flick will greet you beside the now-completed Wishboard. Speak with him to activate the donation interface.

4. Donate 200 Shell Shards at the Wishboard

   Interact with the Wishboard and confirm the donation. The quest will complete instantly, triggering dialogue and environmental updates to show Bone Bottom’s repair progress.

Quest Completion and Rewards

The Bone Bottom Repairs wish doesn’t grant a tangible item but instead provides visual and narrative rewards:

• The camp’s environment becomes livelier and more populated.
• Background workers appear rebuilding structures.
• Flick’s dialogue changes to reflect the completed repairs.
• The Wishboard now lists future donation requests for Bone Bottom.

Note: Flick will not remain at the Wishboard indefinitely. After you leave and return, he may be seen working in the background instead.

Known Issues FIX

A rare issue may occur where the Skull King (Skull Tyrant) despawns, leaving the camp locked and preventing further progress.
Temporary Fix (from Team Cherry’s known issues):

1. Use the Bellway to travel away from Bone Bottom (for example, to Bellhart).
2. Rest at a bench.
3. Return to Bone Bottom.
4. Repeat if necessary until the Skull Tyrant respawns.
   Once defeated, NPCs and the Wishboard will reactivate properly.
