Cloaks of the Choir Wish

Cloaks of the Choir is a Hunt Wish in Hollow Knight: Silksong that has you gathering supplies for the pilgrims of Songclave. To complete it, you’ll need to hunt specific enemies throughout the Choral Chambers to collect 15 of their cloaks.

Wish Prerequisites

This quest is part of the Songclave restoration effort and requires a previous contribution.

1. Unlock Songclave You must first reach the top-right of the Choral Chambers (after defeating the Cogwork Dancers) and ring the Grand Bell to transform the area into the Songclave hub.

2. Complete the Fine Pins Wish This quest will only appear on the Wish Board after you have successfully completed the Fine Pins wish. You may need to leave and re-enter Songclave for it to appear.

Cloaks of the Choir Quest Walkthrough

1. Accept the Wish

Once the prerequisites are met, head to the Wish Board in Songclave to accept the Cloaks of the Choir wish.

2. Hunt the Correct Enemies

Your targets are specific choirbugs that wear dark cloaks. Enemies with white hoods and gold sigils (like Reeds and Choristors) do not drop the required item.

Choir Flyer

A flying enemy that swoops down to attack.

Choir Pouncer

A ground-based enemy that lunges at you.

Choir Hornhead

A sturdy bug with a large head it uses for defense and offense.

Drop Rate

Choir Cloaks are not a guaranteed drop. The community estimates the drop rate to be around 50%, so you will need to defeat more than 15 enemies.

Watch Out for Spikes!

If a quest item like a Choir Cloak falls onto damaging spikes, it will be destroyed. Be mindful of your positioning when fighting enemies above spike pits.

3. Cloak Farming Locations

There are two highly efficient spots to farm for Choir Cloaks, both with a nearby bench for resetting enemies.

The Chandelier Room

This is a tall room located to the left of the entrance to Whiteward. A bench is conveniently located just to the top-right of this room. All three target enemies spawn here: Pouncers and Flyers on the chandeliers above, and a Hornhead on the ground floor. This is arguably the most efficient farming spot.

The Hotspring Route

An alternative spot is near the hotspring in the Citadel Spa area. From the bench there, head Northeast to find a Choir Hornhead and a Choir Pouncer. This provides a quick run for two potential cloaks.

4. Return to Songclave

Once you have collected all 15 Choir Cloaks, you must return to the Songclave Wishwall to turn them in and complete the quest.

Your efforts to help the pilgrims are rewarded with a valuable item.

Reward: Heavy Rosary Necklace

You will receive a Heavy Rosary Necklace for completing the quest. This item can be consumed from your inventory at any time to immediately gain 220 Rosaries.
