Silksong: Beast Crest
The Beast Crest is a hyper-offensive Crest in Hollow Knight: Silksong that embodies a high-risk, high-reward “berserker” playstyle. It is the only Crest focused exclusively on raw damage, offering two Red slots and no defensive or utility options.

"Tear foes with savage slashes. Bind to enter a wild fury and steal life from prey."
Its game-changing feature is the modification of Hornet’s Bind ability. Instead of healing, it triggers a temporary “fury” state, increasing damage and allowing Hornet to steal life from her foes with each strike.
How to Get the Beast Crest
Section titled “How to Get the Beast Crest”Beast Crest is your reward for defeating the Savage Beastfly boss. This boss is located inside the Beast Chapel within The Hunter’s March area.
Beast Crest Moveset & Ability Analysis
Section titled “Beast Crest Moveset & Ability Analysis”The Beast Crest encourages relentless aggression. Its moveset is fast and savage, but its true power lies in its unique Bind ability.
- Standard Attacks: Likely faster and more aggressive than the Hunter Crest to synergize with its offensive nature.
- Modified Bind (Fury Mode): This is the core of the Crest. When you use Bind, Hornet does not heal her Masks. Instead, she consumes Silk to enter a temporary empowered state. While in this “fury,” her attacks deal increased damage and have a lifesteal effect, restoring health with each successful hit on an enemy.
Strategic Analysis & Recommended Builds
Section titled “Strategic Analysis & Recommended Builds”This Crest forces a complete change in strategy. You can no longer back away to heal; your only way to recover health is to attack.
- Strengths: Incredible damage output. Lifesteal allows for aggressive, in-your-face combat without needing to stop and heal.
- Weaknesses: Extremely risky. No defensive or utility slots. If you can’t hit the enemy, you can’t heal, making it punishing against evasive bosses.
Pure Damage Lifesteal Build
Section titled “Pure Damage Lifesteal Build”This build doubles down on the Beast Crest’s offensive nature, using both Red slots to maximize damage per second.
