Queen's Egg Quest (Delivery Wish)

By accepting the Queen’s Egg wish in Hollow Knight: Silksong, you take on a special delivery quest with a unique payload. Your task is to transport a delicate egg with its own health bar to a mysterious figure named Styx in Sinner’s Road.

How to Start the Quest

This quest becomes available from Tipp and Pill’s shop in Upper Bellhart after you have established yourself as a reliable courier.

Prerequisites

To unlock the Queen’s Egg wish, you must first complete three prerequisite quests:

1. My Missing Courier
2. My Missing Brother
3. Any one other delivery quest from the brothers.

Walkthrough: Delivering the Queen’s Egg

The Queen’s Egg is unique because it has 4 HP and no time limit. The egg can sustain three hits, but it will break on the fourth hit, failing the quest.

Pro Tip: Clear the Route First

While there’s no time pressure, the route is still dangerous. It’s a good strategy to travel the path once beforehand to defeat enemies, which will make your actual delivery run much safer.

Act 3!

This quest becomes significantly harder in Act 3. Many enemies will be empowered with dark aura attacks that can hit multiple times, and several platforms and balloons on the path to Sinner’s Road will be missing, making the platforming more complex.

1. Accept the Wish in Bellhart

   Speak to Tipp and Pill in Upper Bellhart and accept the “Queen’s Egg” wish from their delivery log.

2. Navigate Through Greymoor

   From Bellhart, head east into Greymoor. Keep moving right until you find a large wind current. Ride it to a higher floor.

   Once you land, immediately jump up onto the prison cell above you and follow the path right, across several chambers, until you reach the elevator near the Halfway Home Inn.

3. Cross to Sinner’s Road

   At the elevator, climb on top of it and use it to jump to the platforms on the right. Use the series of platforms and floating balloons to climb higher, eventually reaching a hidden path that serves as the entrance to Sinner’s Road.

4. Traverse Sinner’s Road

   Inside Sinner’s Road, continue right until you reach the middle part of the region. From here, you must climb the large cages and prison cells to reach a hole at the top that leads to the upper floor.

5. Find and Deliver the Egg to Styx

   On the upper floor, follow the path to the right until you see the entrance to Bilewater. Do not go there. Instead, drop down from this point to find the chamber where Styx is waiting.

   Give the Queen’s Egg to Styx. A short scene will play out.

Queen’s Egg Quest Rewards

Completing this quest provides a standard currency reward and a significant, permanent upgrade to one of your resources.

Increased Silkeater Production

The most important reward for this quest is a permanent upgrade to your Silkeater production. After this delivery, you will gain more Silkeaters at a faster rate from their source in Greymoor.

120 Rosaries

You will also receive a standard reward of 120 Rosaries for completing the delivery.

Veteran Analysis

The permanent upgrade to Silkeater production is the true prize of this quest. While the 120 Rosaries are a nice bonus, the ability to generate Silkeaters more quickly is a powerful passive upgrade that will benefit you for the rest of the game, especially in difficult encounters. This makes the Queen’s Egg quest a high-priority delivery to complete as soon as it becomes available.
