Silkspear (Needle Throw)
Silkspear is a deadly Silk Skill in Hollow Knight: Silksong and is the first skill Hornet can unlock. This ability allows Hornet to hurl her needle forward with coiled Silk, creating a powerful long-range attack.
More importantly, the Silkspear is an essential tool for progression. It is the only way to permanently destroy the thick, silk-like barriers that block critical paths, particularly in the Mosshome area.

How to Get Silkspear
Section titled “How to Get Silkspear”The Silkspear is found early in the game within Mosshome. It is located at a high vantage point in the large chamber just outside the Moss Druid’s cave.

Navigate to the Moss Druid’s Cave Make your way through the early areas of Mosshome until you reach the entrance to the Moss Druid’s cave.

Ascend the Large Chamber In the large room just before the cave, use your platforming skills to climb to the very top.

Acquire the Ability At the peak of the chamber, you will find the source of the ability. Interact with it to learn the Silkspear technique.
How to Use Silkspear
Section titled “How to Use Silkspear”The Silkspear is a straightforward ranged attack that consumes a small amount of Silk and deals 3x your standard needle damage.
